GOOD NEWS FOR YOU AND ME!

God loves us.  We blew it.  Christ paid for us.  We must receive Him.

God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to  the full.

We blew it and even though God loves us, we are out of fellowship with him because of our wrong decisions and choices.  A Holy God must judge sin and the consequences of that sin is death.

Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Christ paid for us through an amazing plan God put together.  God devised a way for us to have fellowship with Him again by offering up a sacrifice of someone who had never done anything wrong: Jesus.  Jesus died in our place, for our wrong actions, even though we deserved to pay the price for our sins.

1 Peter 3:18 "Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."

We must receive Him.  If a gift is delivered to your door but you never receive it, the gift sits unopened.  We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior by asking forgiveness of our sins and surrendering our lives to His leadership.

John 1:12  "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children  of God."

Have you recognized the amazing God who loves you and have you acknowledged the fact that you have messed up and need a Savior?  All you have to do is acknowledge your need for God, ask for His forgiveness and receive the eternal gift of salvation.  You can pray your own prayer or you can pray this prayer:

"Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me of my sins.  I'm sorry that I have not lived for you but that changes starting today.  I want to make Jesus the Lord and Leader of my life and I believe what the Bible says about Him is true.  So Lord, I give you my life and I will never take it back."
